Kelly Cunningham is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in both public defense and judicial support. Currently serving as a Deputy Public Defender at the Colorado State Public Defender since January 2022, Kelly has previously held key positions as a Judicial Law Clerk in the U.S. District Courts from August 2019 to August 2021, and as a Legal Analyst at the Collateral Consequences Resource Center. Additional experience includes roles as a Judicial Extern at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, an intern with the Federal Public Defender for the Districts of Colorado and Wyoming, and a Summer Associate at Moore & Van Allen PLLC. Kelly earned a Doctor of Law degree, magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and English, cum laude, from The University of Georgia.
