Vera Abong'O

Vera Abong'o, an accomplished legal professional, currently serves as a Senior Prosecution Counsel at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions since April 2014, where notable achievements include a 100% conviction rate in sexual offenses involving child victims and successfully diverting 75% of cases for children in conflict with the law. Prior to this role, Vera held positions as Prosecution Counsel I and II, achieving significant success in murder prosecutions and enhancing the efficiency of complaint handling services. Vera's experience also includes serving as a Legal Associate at Marlene A Abongo & Company Advocates, contributing to a 75% success rate in case rulings, and legal assistance roles at Youth Alive! Kenya and NANHRI, focusing on child rights and organizational support. Vera holds an LL.B from Moi University and is currently an LL.M candidate, enhancing a robust legal foundation with a Post-graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
