Michael Skwarek is an experienced professional with a diverse background in government and policy advisory roles, currently serving at the Office of the eSafety Commissioner since March 2022. Prior to this, Michael worked at the UK Home Office in the Tackling Child Sexual Abuse Unit from January 2021 to March 2022, and held the position of Consul for Online Harms at the British Consulate-General in San Francisco from January 2019 to December 2020. Earlier roles include serving as a Senior Policy Advisor in the National Security Secretariat at the Cabinet Office, and involvement with domestic affairs at 10 Downing Street. Michael has also provided policy advice in various capacities at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, the Government Office for Science, the Office for Life Sciences, and the Trade Policy Unit.
