Rocky Heckman is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in online safety, cybersecurity, and advanced technology solutions. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at the eSafety Commissioner since March 2024, Rocky leads Australia's first government agency dedicated to enhancing online safety. As Chief Consultant at Cyber Dynamo, Rocky provides expertise in adopting emerging technologies and strategic consulting for CTO/CIO and CISO services. Prior to these roles, Rocky held significant positions at Microsoft for over 17 years, including Platform Engineering Manager and Mixed Reality Business Development Manager for APJ, contributing to high-security environments and advancing HoloLens initiatives. Rocky's earlier career included roles at Readify, G-Wiz Innovations, and the Australian Taxation Office, developing secure software architectures and complex systems. Rocky holds a Master of Cyber Security Analysis and a Master of Intelligence from Macquarie University, along with a BSE in Software Engineering from the University of Canberra and a degree in Computer Science from Colorado Technical University.
