Jacqueline Clayton

Jacqueline Zamarripa Clayton is an accomplished attorney currently serving as an Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General. With extensive experience in the legal field, Jacqueline previously held the position of Assistant United States Attorney and Assistant Attorney General for the State of Oklahoma, where responsibilities included representing the state in civil matters and defending officials in civil rights cases. Jacqueline began their legal career with significant contributions as a Staff Attorney at the Alliance for Children's Rights, focusing on benefits appeals for caregivers, and also completed legal fellowships and internships that addressed international law, human rights, and issues related to missing children. Education includes a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from UC Irvine, along with studies at the University of Cape Town and Universidad Interamericana de Costa Rica.
