Katherina Thompson has extensive experience in public service and constituent relations, currently serving as the Director of Constituent Services and Clergy Liaison at the Office of the Queens Borough President since October 2017. Prior to this role, Katherina worked as the Director of Scheduling for the New York State Senate from February 2015 to October 2017 and as the Assistant to the Queens Borough President Melinda Katz from February 2014 to February 2015. Katherina began a career in public service at the NY City Council, where responsibilities included serving as Community Liaison, Scheduler, and Intern Advisor from 2010 to 2013. Katherina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from LIU Post, earned between 2004 and 2008.

Office of the Queens Borough President

Duties include to comment on all land-use items in their borough, advocate borough needs in the annual municipal budget process, appoint Community Boards, chair the Borough Boards, and serve as ex officio members of various boards and committees. They generally act as advocates of their boroughs at the mayoral agencies, the city council, the New York State government, public corporations and private businesses. Their regulations are compiled in title 45 of the New York City Rules.
