Zachary J. currently serves as the Chief Speechwriter for the Office of the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives since January 2024. Previously, Zachary held the position of Director of Operations at the House Committee on Homeland Security from June 2023 to January 2024. From January 2019 to January 2023, Zachary worked in various roles for Senator Rick Scott, including Speechwriter, Communications Coordinator, and Press Assistant. Additionally, Zachary gained experience as a Speechwriting Fellow at The Claremont Institute in 2022 and as a James Madison Fellow at Hillsdale College from 2021 to 2022. In 2021, Zachary was a Carolina Fellow at the Common Sense Society. Earlier career experiences include a Press Assistant role for Rick Scott for Senate, an internship at The Heritage Foundation, and a Policy Research Internship at the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. Zachary's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and International Affairs from Florida State University and a Graduate Certificate in Global Strategic Communications from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications.
