Briana Smalley

Briana Smalley is currently serving as an Assistant District Attorney at the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor for the City of New York since September 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Managing Editor of Student Works and Staff Writer for the Villanova Environmental Law Journal, as well as their position as a Certified Legal Intern at the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, where Briana represented the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in various criminal cases. Briana has also worked as a Student Attorney at the Villanova Law Clinic for Asylum, Refugee, and Emigrant Services, a Summer Judicial Intern at the New York State Supreme Court, and a Legal Extern at The Institute to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation. Additional background includes positions as a Legal Assistant at Diamond & Kaplan, P.A., and various roles at High Point University, including Student Worker in the Office of Student Conduct and Executive Assistant to the Director at High Point Community Against Violence Inc. Briana holds a Juris Doctorate from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from High Point University.
