Veronica Graves, SHRM-CP, PHR has over 30 years of experience in human resources. Their most recent position was as the Chief Human Resources Officer at the Office of the State Public Defender, where they currently work. Previously, they served as the Human Resources Director at the same organization. Prior to that, Veronica was the Human Resources Director at the CU School of Dental Medicine for three years. Veronica also held various roles at the Colorado School of Mines, including Associate Director for Human Resources and Assistant Director of Human Resources. Earlier in their career, Veronica worked as an HR Representative at Swedish Medical Center, an HR Technician at Pinnacol Assurance, an HR Specialist at Exempla Healthcare, and an Assistant to the Director/HR Coordinator at Quanterra. Veronica has extensive experience in personnel administration, recruitment, employee relations, benefits management, and project management.

Veronica Graves, SHRM-CP, PHR, has a strong educational background and multiple certifications in the field of Human Resources. Veronica obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management from Metropolitan State University of Denver, completing their studies from 1999 to 2006. Prior to that, they pursued a vocational course in Graphic Design at Denver Institute of Technology from 1990 to 1991. Veronica attended Gateway High School from 1982 to 1986, although the specific degree and field of study during this time are unknown.

In addition to their educational achievements, Veronica has attained several professional certifications. Veronica acquired the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in February 2015. Veronica also holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI), obtained in January 2015. Prior to these certifications, Veronica gained expertise in PCP certifications in various areas including Personal Services Contracts, Selection, and Job Evaluation from the Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration. Veronica received these certifications in 2005, 2004, and 2003, respectively.
