Geir Atle Storhaug

Senior Systems Engineer at Offshore Simulator Centre

Geir Atle Storhaug has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Geir Atle began their career in 1986 as a Scientist at Christian Michelsen Research. In 1987, they served in the public service for the Det norske forsvaret. From 1988 to 2000, they worked as a Principal Scientist at FFI, the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment. In 2000, they joined Tandberg Television ASA as a Systems Engineer and worked there until 2002. From 2002 to 2018, they owned their own company, storhaug.biz. Geir Atle also worked as an IT consultant for the Municipality of Aalesund from 2003 to 2004. In 2004, they joined Aalesund University College as a Senior Systems Engineer until 2006. In the same year, they also started working at Offshore Simulator Centre AS as a Senior Systems Engineer and is currently employed there. Since November 2014, Geir Atle Storhaug has been teaching at NTNU Aalesund.

Geir Atle Storhaug earned their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ålesund University College (HiÅ) from 1981 to 1983. Geir Atle further pursued their education at the University of Bergen (UiB) from 1983 to 1986, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer Graphics. In addition to their formal education, Geir Atle Storhaug acquired the Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance in May 2011.
