Petroné Bezuidenhout has been employed in various roles since 2011. From 2011 to 2019, they worked at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), where they were a Business Development Representative, International Liaison and Research and Development Engineer, Research and Development Project Manager and Engineer, Electronic Engineer, Research and Development Engineer, Industry Co-supervisor and Liaison, Technologist/Engineer/Knowledge applicator, and Financial Coordinator. Petroné also worked as a Research and Development Apprentice at the CSIR, where they characterized and compared the Dolomite Mitos P-Pump to a Syringe pump, did colour detection using an Arduino for CD-based microfluidics, and capacitive detection of E. coli. In 2019, they became a Microelectronic Engineering MasterStudent at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria. In 2020, they became a Roboticist and Electronic/Electrical Engineer at OffWorld, as well as unemployed.
Petroné Bezuidenhout obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Microelectronic engineering from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria between 2011 and 2014. Petroné then obtained a BENG Honours Microelectronic Engineering from the same institution in 2015. In 2016 they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Microelectronic Engineering from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, and was also awarded a Registered ECSA Candidate Engineer from the Engineering Council of South Africa. Petroné also achieved academic recognition (top 15% per University) from the Golden Key International Honour Society in 2012, and obtained Level 1 first aid training from the South African Qualifications Authority in 2018.
