Karen Boyle

Karen Boyle is an experienced professional currently serving as the Head of Risk and Head of Assurance at Ofgem since July 2011, where responsibilities include counter fraud, assurance, and risk management. Previously, from April 2012, Karen held the role of Head of Fraud Prevention, Audit and Governance, overseeing a team in fraud prevention, developing strategies, managing external audits, liaising with government counterparts, and ensuring compliance among scheme participants. Prior to Ofgem, Karen was the Deputy Director at the Big Lottery Fund from 1998 to 2010 and holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Glasgow Caledonian University, along with secondary education from Holyrood Secondary in Glasgow.
