Kenzie Sharkey has a diverse work experience spanning from 2008 to the present. They began their career as an Independent Sales Contractor at Southwestern Company in 2008, followed by a role as a Travel Money Advisor at Travelex from 2009 to 2010. Kenzie then worked as a Legal Secretary at McLennan Adam Davis Solicitors from 2011 to 2012. They also gained market research and customer service support experience at Legalbot in 2012. Kenzie transitioned to a corporate role as an ESSN Mid Market Business Development Account Manager at Hewlett-Packard from 2012 to 2013. Following this, they joined North Ayrshire Council as a Trainee Solicitor, handling contracts, conveyancing, and licensing matters from 2013 to 2015. In their subsequent role as a Solicitor at North Ayrshire Council from 2015 to 2018, Kenzie provided legal services to various departments, managed a diverse case load, and advised on conveyancing matters and land acquisition for regeneration projects. From 2018 to 2019, they served as a Senior Solicitor (Government, Regulation and Competition Law) at Brodies LLP. Currently, Kenzie is employed at Ofgem, where they have held positions as a Legal Adviser and currently as a Senior Expert Lawyer since 2019.

Kenzie Sharkey began their education at Marr College from 2001 to 2007. They then attended the University of Glasgow from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. In 2010, they briefly studied at The University of Western Australia for their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Later, in 2011, they pursued a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow. Additionally, in the same year, they attended the International Institute of Human Rights to study the International Protection of Social Rights.
