Business Resilience Specialist at Ofgem

Lilly Spillman has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Sales Assistant at Marks and Spencer in 2010. Lilly then went on to work as an Account Planner at JCDecaux and in Sales at Pitney Bowes. In 2015, they joined AutoProtect as a Claims Handler and later moved to the London Borough of Havering, where they held positions as an Emergency Planning Officer and Corporate & Community Resilience Manager. During their time at the London Borough of Havering, they served as the Lead for Emergency Planning & Business Continuity and chaired the Havering Borough Resilience Forum & Risk Advisory Working Group. In 2016, they joined Ofgem as a Business Resilience Specialist. Most recently, prior to their current role at Ofgem, they were a Business Continuity Programme Manager at News UK. Additionally, they have volunteered and gained experience at Essex County Council and Southern Road Primary School.

Lilly Spillman started their education at Brampton Manor School from 2004 to 2007. Lilly then attended Mark Hall Academy from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained 8 GCSE's A-C, including maths and English. Following that, they studied at Leventhorpe School from 2009 to 2011, where they completed 3 A-Levels. From 2011 to 2014, Lilly attended Anglia Ruskin University and earned a BA (Hons) degree in Public Services, specializing in Public Service. In 2016, they completed a course on Introduction to Civil Protection at the Emergency Planning College. In 2017, they undertook a course in Business Continuity Foundation at the Emergency Planning College. In the same year, they also obtained a CBCI Certification in Business Continuity from The Business Continuity Institute (BCI). In 2018, Lilly completed courses in Managing Safely at the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and Emergency First Aid at Crusader Training.
