Senior Policy Manager at Ofgem

Rebecca Wells has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Rebecca currently works at Ofgem as a Senior Policy Manager, where they have been since April 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Policy Manager - Smart Metering at Ofgem from August 2021 to April 2023. Rebecca also worked as an Analyst at Ofgem from January 2021 to August 2021.

In addition to their time at Ofgem, Rebecca has also held positions at other organizations. Rebecca was the Co-Chair of the UKRN Young People's Network at UK Regulators' Network from November 2021 to December 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Researcher at The Climate Venture Collective from October 2020 to June 2021.

Additionally, Rebecca had a 2-week internship at Carbon Green Consulting Ltd in April 2019, where they worked directly under the Director and gained insight into environmental regulations on new and existing buildings.

Before embarking on their professional career, Rebecca held positions as a General Counselor at Camp Lokanda in 2018 and as a Waitress at Blue Lagoon Scheveningen in 2017.

Lastly, Rebecca's work experience includes a significant volunteering project. From July 2014 to August 2015, they volunteered with twelve other students to fundraise for Ndege Primary and Secondary School in rural Kenya. They raised over 20,000 euros through various fundraisers and traveled to the school to initiate construction projects, plant an avocado orchard, and teach lessons using the funds raised.

Rebecca Wells completed their education history in a chronological order. Rebecca attended The British School in The Netherlands from 2006 to 2016, where they pursued A levels and GCSE's. Following that, from 2016 to 2019, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in History and International Relations from the University of Exeter. Their most recent educational endeavor was at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2019 to 2020, where they completed their MSc in Environment and Development.
