Steve Davey has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Steve began their career in 1999 as a Survey Interviewer at the Research Unit in Health, Behaviour, and Change. Steve then worked as a College Lecturer at Kirklees College from 2001 to 2002. In 2002, they briefly served as a Personal Tutor at the Lothian Equal Access Programme for Schools. From 2005 to 2008, they worked as a Student Support Worker at The University of Huddersfield.

In 2007, Steve Davey founded Double Happiness Records, where they served as the Founder until 2022. In 2020, they worked as a Support Worker at Voyage Care Ltd for a short period of time. Steve then joined CGI in 2022 as a Service Desk Technical Analyst until 2023. Currently, they are a Trainee Software Developer at Ofgem, starting in 2023.

Steve Davey started their education in 1998 at Stevenson College Edinburgh, where they pursued an Access to Arts and Social Sciences degree. In 1999, they enrolled at the University of Edinburgh and completed their undergraduate education, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 2003. Continuing their education, Steve attended the University of Huddersfield in 2004 and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching in 2005.

In 2017, Steve attended ITPT Training, focusing on computing and completing a CompTIA A+ certification. In 2018, they joined Borders College for further studies in computing science, obtaining a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in 2019. Steve then pursued a BSC (Hons) degree in Computing Science at the University of the West of Scotland from 2019 to 2022, graduating with honors.

In addition to their formal education, Steve also obtained multiple certifications from Sololearn in various programming languages and technologies. These certifications include CSS, Ruby, React + Redux, C++, PHP, C#, C, Python 3, SQL, HTML Fundamentals, Java Tutorial, and JavaScript Tutorial.
