Laboratory Assistant at Ohalo Genetics

Daisy Cortes started their work experience in 2018 as a Server at Maggiano's Little Italy and worked there until 2020. In 2020, they also worked as a Laboratory Technician at Kyla from October to June 2021. At the University of California, Santa Cruz, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant from September 2020 to June 2022, studying the physiology and density of gill filaments in G. mordax. Daisy also had a shorter term as an Undergraduate Research Assistant from June to September 2021. Most recently, they joined Ohalo Genetics in February 2022 as a Laboratory Technician and later became a Laboratory Assistant.

Daisy Cortes attended Fullerton College from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, with a focus on Chemistry. Following their time at Fullerton College, Daisy enrolled at the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 2020 to 2022. Daisy pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and also completed a minor in Bioinformatics during their time at the university.
