Jess Krieger, PhD is the Founder and CEO of Ohayo Valley since November 2020. Prior to that, they were a Co-founder and CSO of SCiFi Foods from March 2019 to October 2020. Jess also worked as a Biomedical Sciences PhD Student at Kent State University from January 2014 to August 2020, focusing on biomanufacturing in vitro meat and developing bioreactor systems. Jess served as a Seed Grant Project Manager and New Harvest Research Fellow at New Harvest from September 2017 to November 2018, where they led the development of a lab-scale bioreactor and conducted research on cellular agriculture. Additionally, they worked as a Visiting Research Scientist at the University of Ottawa from January 2017 to May 2017, collaborating on tissue engineering cultured meat products.

Jess Krieger, PhD has an extensive education history. From 2014 to 2019, they attended Kent State University and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biomedical Sciences, with a specialization in Cellular and Molecular Biology.

In 2022, they enrolled in Harvard Business School for an Executive Education program titled "Preparing to be a Corporate Director." Their studies in this program are ongoing.

Prior to their doctoral studies, from 2007 to 2013, Jess Krieger obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology, both from Kent State University. They also earned a Minor degree in Philosophy during the same period.

Alongside their formal education, Jess Krieger has also obtained a certification in "Upstream Processing of Animal Cell Culture Products" from the Biomanufacturing Education and Training Center at WPI in September 2019.
