Duarte Sousa

Duarte Sousa is a seasoned satellite system engineer currently serving as the AIV manager for the MTG program at OHB SE since September 2016. Sousa is responsible for coordinating the verification and validation of requirements for the MTG-I mission throughout various project phases. Previous experience includes a leading role as a system AIT engineer for the Galileo FOC Programme during a consultancy with OHB System, focusing on integration, environmental tests, and launch campaigns. Early career positions involved traineeships at ESA/ESTEC, where support was provided to environmental testing facilities and systems engineering for Earth Observation programs, as well as a research engineer position at EADS Astrium in future technologies for Moon and Mars missions. Duarte Sousa's educational background includes an Advanced Master degree in Space Systems Engineering from ISAE-SUPAERO and a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
