Livio Ascani

Livio Ascani has extensive work experience in the field of aerospace engineering. Livio began their career at Space Engineering S.p.A. as a SSN System Engineer in 2006. Livio then joined Altran as a Cosmo SkyMed V&V Engineer at Thales Alenia Space Italy from 2006 to 2008. After that, they worked at Carlo Gavazzi Space as a System and AOCS Engineer on various projects from 2008 to 2009.

In 2009, Livio Ascani started working at OHB SE. Livio served as a SGEO Mission Analysis and Flight Dynamics Engineer from 2009 to 2012. Livio then took on the role of MTG AOCS Technical Lead from 2012 to 2018, where they were responsible for AOCS design, algorithm design, and lead of AOCS software development and verification. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as an MTG PF System Engineer, focusing on system design, verification, and support to FDIR, operations/ground segment design, and mission. Currently, Livio holds the position of MTG Project Chief Engineer at OHB SE.

Livio Ascani obtained a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma in 2003. Livio then pursued further education at the same institution from 2003 to 2005, specializing in Aerospace Engineering. In 2021, Livio enrolled in PM-ZERT Zertifizierungsstelle der GPM e. V., where they completed a Certified Senior Project Manager program in Project Management Certification in 2022.
