Stephen Ashton

Stephen Ashton is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product assurance and quality management within the aerospace and technology sectors. Currently serving as a Consultant Product Assurance Manager at OHB Sweden AB since September 2012, previous roles include Test Team Leader and PA Manager at ABSL Space Products, and Principal PA Engineer at EADS Astrium. With a background that includes significant positions at NXP where responsibilities ranged from IP Manager to Quality & Customer Liaison Manager, Stephen has demonstrated expertise in managing assurance systems, driving quality initiatives, and leading teams across various high-value projects. Early in their career, Stephen gained foundational experience at Smiths Aerospace, working as a Production Engineer and Calibration and Standards Engineer, following a rigorous apprenticeship in aerospace engineering. Stephen holds a BEng (Hons) in Electronics & Telecommunications from the University of Bath, complemented by further studies at The Open University.
