Chaya Kohn, LMHC, has worked at various organizations throughout their career. Chaya started in 2008 as a Secretary at Hashevanyu, a non-profit organization providing community support. In 2011, they joined OHEL Children's Home and Family Services as a Senior Direct Care Worker before transitioning to roles such as Community Habilitation Supervisor and Residence Manager. From 2015 to 2017, they served as a Program Manager for an Enriched Crisis Bed Program at OHEL, focusing on short-term housing for individuals recovering from a psychiatric crisis. In 2017, Chaya became a Social Service Coordinator at the New York Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. In 2018, they returned to OHEL as a Clinical Coordinator and Trauma Team Therapist, providing in-home assessments, case management, and crisis interventions. Chaya is currently working as a Project Director at OHEL.
Chaya Kohn, LMHC, holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor which they obtained from Touro University from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology at Hunter College from 2009 to 2012. In addition, Chaya has obtained certifications in Comprehensive CANS and Mental Health CANS from The John Praed Foundation in 2014.
