Ohio Auditor of State
John Gast is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in performance management and financial analysis. Currently serving as a Performance Project Manager in the Auditor of State - Ohio since January 2020, John has progressed through various roles including Senior Performance Analyst and Performance Analyst. Prior to this, John worked as an AML Analyst at Promontory Financial Group from August 2018 to October 2019, and held a position as a Bank Teller at Farmers and Merchants Bank for a brief period in mid-2018. Early career experiences include roles as a Supply Chain Coordinator Intern at Hickory Farms, an employee at 3-D Technical Services, and a Deli Worker at Butcher Bill's. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Bowling Green State University, completed in 2017, and graduated from William Mason High School in 2013.
Ohio Auditor of State
Under the direction of Auditor Keith Faber, the Auditor of State's office is responsible for auditing and providing financial services to all public offices in Ohio. This encompasses more than 5,800 entities including cities, counties, villages, townships, schools, state universities and public libraries as well as all state agencies, boards and commissions. The office also provides financial services to local governments, investigates and prevents fraud in public agencies and promotes transparency in government. The office is divided among eight regions, including a state region.
