Buffy Andrews has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations. Buffy started their career as a Labor Relations Specialist at the Office of Collective Bargaining in 2006 and later worked as a Labor Relations Officer 3 at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction from 2009 to 2012. Buffy then served as a Human Resource Administrator at the Department of Veterans Services from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, they joined OCSEA as an Operations Director, where they were responsible for strategic planning, labor relations, and grievance administration. In 2020, they became the Chief of Staff at OCSEA, where they provide guidance and leadership to the staff. Buffy has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at both Wilberforce University Alumni and Wiley College.

Buffy Andrews has a strong educational background with a focus on business administration, senior executive leadership, and human resource management. In 2002, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Organizational Management from Wilberforce University. In 2004, they went on to earn a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University. In 2019, they attended Harvard University to obtain a certificate in Senior Executive Leadership in State and Local Government. Currently, Buffy Andrews is enrolled at Franklin University, where they are pursuing a Doctorate degree in Business Administration, which they are expected to complete in 2024. In addition to their academic achievements, they hold certifications such as "Doctoral Candidate" and "Doctoral Leadership" from Franklin University, obtained in May 2023 and March 2023 respectively.
