Ohio Expo Center & State Fair
Christopher Nethers has a diverse work experience in various organizations and roles. Christopher started their work experience in 1992 as the Director of Health and Safety for the All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir at the Ohio Expo Center & State Fair. Christopher also worked as an EMT-B/FF at the Madison Twp. Fire Department, where they provided emergency medical assistance and performed various roles on fire scenes. Christopher was a music teacher at Licking Valley Schools and a weather spotter for NOAA, monitoring and reporting severe weather conditions. Christopher worked at Heath Water Park as a lifeguard and instructor for life guarding and water safety classes. Christopher was a member of the Aquatics Safety Committee at the American Red Cross and a team member of the Ohio Crisis Response Team, providing support to communities after traumatic events. Christopher served as a Girl Scout Co-Leader for the Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland and a referee for FIRST Lego League and FIRST Tech Challenge. Christopher also worked in childcare at the YMCA.
Christopher Nethers attended Muskingum University from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music Teacher Education. In 1991, they also obtained a license in Ohio Emergency Medical Technician from Mid-East Ohio Joint Vocational School.
Ohio Expo Center & State Fair
