Matthew Cummings

Matthew Cummings is a skilled professional with extensive experience in design and education. Currently serving as a Production Coordinator and Designer 1 at Ohio History Connection since November 2016, Matthew has contributed to museum exhibit design for the history center and over 60 sites in Ohio. Previous roles include Sales Associate and Sales Lead at REI, where Matthew inspired customers with expert advice on outdoor equipment and maintained store standards. As a freelance Properties Designer, Matthew collaborated on period-accurate props for theater productions and worked as a Carpenter and Overhire Properties Artisan with theater companies. Additional experience includes archaeological technician roles that involved field surveys and excavations. Matthew holds a B.A. in Theatrical Design from Columbia College Chicago and an Associate of Science in Technical Theatre from Central Lakes College.
