John Palmer Apr

John Palmer, APR has extensive work experience in public relations, media relations, and communication. John served as a Director of Media and Public Relations at The Ohio Hospital Association from 2012, where they were responsible for managing public relations, media relations, and communication efforts. John also served as a media spokesperson and managed executive communication projects.

In 2008, John joined Ohio Dominican University as a Media & Marketing Communications Manager. In this role, they oversaw media relations and marketing communication projects for the university. John managed employee and executive communications and led an internal communication strategy for university audiences.

Prior to joining Ohio Dominican University, John worked at the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) as a Public Relations and Communications Manager from 2004 to 2008. John was responsible for managing internal and external messaging, media relations, and coordinating marketing projects promoting new services and programs.

Additionally, John has experience as an Adjunct Instructor in PR and Marketing Communications at both Ohio Dominican University and Capital University. At Ohio Dominican University, they taught PR and Marketing Communications as well as Medical Practice Management courses, while at Capital University, they served as an Adjunct Instructor in the School of Communication.

John Palmer, APR completed their Master's Degree in Organizational Communication at Ohio University from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned their B.A. in Public Relations and Journalism from Capital University between 2001 and 2004. In September 2017, they obtained accreditation in Public Relations from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
