Ohio Military Reserve
Philip Lohmeyer is an experienced professional in emergency services and ministry, currently serving as the Emergency Services Chaplain for the Stark County Sheriff's Office since February 2024. With a background in military service as a First Sergeant in the Ohio Military Reserve, Lohmeyer has held various roles in disaster response and chaplaincy, including Coordinator of Disaster Response Ministries for The Christian and Missionary Alliance and Chaplain for the Federation of Fire Chaplains and Central Ohio Joint Fire District. Notably, Lohmeyer was the CERT Program Manager for KNOX County Emergency Manager from April 2018 to February 2024. Additional experience includes serving as a Fire Prevention Officer at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and as an Emergency Medical Technician with the Ohio Special Response Team. Lohmeyer's educational qualifications include a Ministry Leadership Program from the Christian and Missionary Alliance and studies at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and The University of Toledo, complemented by continuous training through FEMA and Ohio EMA in crisis management.

Ohio Military Reserve
The Ohio Military Reserve is a component of the Ohio Adjutant General's Department and serves under the governor as commander in chief. Its primary mission is to provide a fully-manned and mission-ready civil support and sustainment brigade to support the state's Emergency Support Function 6 (mass care) and Emergency Support Function 7 (logistics and resource support) during natural or man-made disasters or other threats to homeland security.
