Ohio Secretary of State
Kayleigh Bernow is currently serving as the Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs for the Ohio Secretary of State since September 2024. Previously, Kayleigh held the position of Senior Legislative Aide and Legislative Aide in the Ohio Senate from May 2021 to October 2024, contributing to various legislative efforts. Prior experience includes a role as Constituent Aide at the Ohio House of Representatives in 2020, where Kayleigh focused on resolving constituent issues and leading outreach during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Kayleigh interned at the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and at Congressman Brad Wenstrup’s District Office, engaging in policy research and constituent support. Kayleigh holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration and Policy Analysis and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, both from Miami University.

The Secretary of State serves as Ohio's chief elections officers and grants corporations the authority to do business in Ohio. The office also provides authentications for documents used overseas, licenses ministers to solemnize marriages in Ohio, oversees the Ohio Notary Commission and acts as the custodian for all laws passed by the General Assembly.
