Nicholas Stroup

Nicholas Stroup currently serves as an Assistant Professor in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Ohio University since August 2023. Prior to this role, Nicholas completed a PhD in Higher Education and Student Affairs at the University of Iowa, where studies spanned from August 2018 to May 2023. Nicholas has held various positions in student services, including Associate Director and Assistant Director at George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government from December 2012 to August 2018, and Area Coordinator and Coordinator of Student Conduct at Bard College from July 2011 to December 2012. Additional experience includes roles at Oberlin College, Case Western Reserve University, and the University of Virginia, focusing on student and career services. Nicholas holds multiple graduate certificates, including College Teaching (Social Sciences) and Public Digital Humanities from the University of Iowa, along with a MA in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University and a BA in Classics: Latin and Comparative Literature from the University of Virginia.
