Anders Almkvist

Anders Almkvist started their work experience in 2010 as a Machine Operator at Sandvik Mining and Construction. Their responsibilities included surface treatment, straightening, and inspection of drilling rods.

In 2013, they joined Sandvik Coromant where they held various roles. Firstly, they worked as a Summer Intern from June 2013 to August 2016. Later, they became a Master Thesis Student from January 2017 to June 2017.

Anders then took on the role of Product Development Engineer from June 2017 to January 2021 at Sandvik Coromant. During this time, they also led the design team for a next-generation face mill project as the Head of Design. The project lasted for nine months and was conducted in collaboration with Sandvik Coromant R&D.

Currently, since 2021, Anders Almkvist is working as an R&D Engineer at Öhlins Racing AB.

Anders Almkvist pursued their education chronologically, starting in 2007 at Bessemerskolan, where they completed the Industriprogrammet with a focus on cutting machining. Anders then attended Linköping University from 2011 to 2012 for a preparatory year. Eventually, Anders went on to study at Luleå University of Technology from 2012 to 2017, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
