Algorithm Engineer at Ohlins Racing A.B

Mats Widmark has a diverse work experience across various engineering roles and industries. Starting from 1995, they worked as an Engineer at Saab Aerosystems until 1998. Mats then joined Boeing Phantom Works as a Flight research engineer for a year. Mats returned to Saab Aerosystems in 1999 and worked as an Engineer until 2004. From 2004 to 2005, they worked as an Aerospace Consultant at Aermacchi. Mats then joined Saab Aerosystems again in 2006 as an Engineer until 2009. Mats worked as a Simulation and software engineer at BMW Sauber F1 Team from 2009 to 2010. Mats then transitioned to Sauber Motorsport AG, where they worked as a Vehicle Performance and Simulation engineer from 2010 to 2012. After that, they joined NIRA Dynamics AB in 2012 as a Systems Engineer, where they worked until 2022. Currently, Mats is working at Öhlins Racing AB as an Algorithm Engineer, responsible for algorithm development for semi-active 2W/4W suspension systems and vehicle dynamic simulations.

Mats Widmark attended Unioto High School from 1988 to 1989, but did not obtain a degree or focus on any specific field of study during that time. Mats then went on to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Linköping University from 1991 to 1995, where they successfully earned their M.Sc degree.
