Ooi Lay Peng has a comprehensive work history in the food and beverage industry. Ooi started their career in 1999 at Cargill as a Merchant, Palm Products. Ooi then worked at Givaudan Flavors as an Account Manager, Flavor from 2003 to 2006. In 2006, they joined Danisco as a Sales Manager, Flavor. Ooi then moved to Firmenich in 2007 as a Regional Account Manager, Flavor. In 2012, they joined Olam International as a Sales Manager, Spices and Vegetable Ingredients. Ooi then joined BASF in 2014 and held various roles including Regional Key Account Manager, Head of Sales South Asia and South East Asia, New Business Development and Key Account Management, and Global Head of Distribution Management, Human Nutrition. Currently, Ooi works at Ohly as a Business Development Director APAC, starting in 2023.
