Ayad Hindi

Ayad Hindi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Ayad currently holds the position of Head of Engineering Savings & Investments at Ohpen, where they are responsible for improving the S&I platform and leading engineering teams across different locations. Prior to this role, Ayad served as the Head of Ohpen Technology Spain, where they played a key role in scaling operations and growing the tech hub. Ayad also worked as a Product Owner at Ohpen, contributing to the development of the core-banking engine.

Before joining Ohpen, Ayad worked at GFT Group as a Principal Consultant, providing technology consultancy to the Investment Banking industry. Ayad'sclients included Deutsche Bank and Banco Sabadell, where they held various roles such as Programme Manager and Lead BA & Architect. At Deutsche Bank, Ayad was involved in initiatives driving the bank towards BCBS239 compliance and managing the Model Risk Control Programme. Ayad also had experience in project management and data quality analysis within the Model Risk Control Programme.

Ayad's earlier experience includes roles at RBS Markets & International Banking, Barclays Capital, and Deutsche Bank. At RBS, they undertook WPF development for the Strategic On-demand Risk Management system and was responsible for the Equity Derivatives Desktop platform. At Barclays Capital, Ayad served as a Senior RAD Developer, focusing on applications for Equity Derivatives Trading desks. During their time at Deutsche Bank, they worked on projects related to trade entry, CDO optimization, and portfolio management.

Ayad also has experience working as an Adventurer and an IT Trainer at Earth and Esilog Consulting, respectively.

Ayad Hindi completed their MSc in Advanced Computer Science from UMIST - University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in 2002. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of Sussex from 1997 to 2001, majoring in Electronics Engineering & Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Ayad obtained the PRINCE2 PRACTITIONER certification in December 2013.
