Joan Vilariño's work experience spans over several years in the IT industry. In 1999, they began as an Analyst/Developer at Contratas y Obras, ECSA, where they designed and developed applications for construction and invoicing management. Joan also managed the company's websites, mail system, and network.
Between 2004 and 2005, Vilariño worked as a Developer at DARP - Generalitat de Catalunya. During this time, they focused on ASP.NET development and functional analysis.
From 2005 to 2007, Vilariño worked as a Consultant at Zemsania, where they were involved in C# ASP.NET projects for the regional government.

Joan played a crucial role in bootstrapping the Barcelona development team, designing and building software solutions. Joan also contributed to the architecture of new applications using AWS edge technologies, ensuring high security, encryption, and disaster recovery.

Joan Vilariño attended Acadèmia Núria Perpinya from 1984 to 1989, where they pursued a degree in Informàtica de Gestió, specifically completing FP 2. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained two certifications, namely the AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2019, and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from AWS in February 2019.
