Andrea Domínguez has a diverse work experience in the field of project management and capacity building. Andrea started their career at Oikocredit, where they worked in various roles. Andrea began as a Monitoring Regional Officer, responsible for evaluating the financial performance of the regional portfolio. Later on, they became the Social Performance & Capacity Building Regional Coordinator for the South America Southern Regional Office. In this role, they implemented Oikocredit's Mentoring the Mentors Program and developed the strategy for Social Performance and Capacity Building in the region.
Afterwards, Andrea worked as a Capacity Building Global Programme Coordinator, where they coordinated the Global Capacity Building Program for Financial Services in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Andrea also developed new capacity building services and products and sought external funding for the program.
Following this, they joined the Microfinance Program for Productive Development of the Planning and Budget Office of Uruguay (OPP) as the Sector Chief Coordinator- Financial. In this role, they coordinated the financial sector of the program.
Andrea later returned to Oikocredit as a Global Capacity Building Specialist and then became a Project Manager, responsible for overseeing the implementation of Outflow Optimization Projects in Salesforce. Currently, they hold the position of Team Lead Project Management Office at Oikocredit, where they set project management standards and procedures, leads and manages a team of project managers, and ensures successful project delivery.
Andrea Domínguez completed their primary and secondary education at "Lycée Français" in Montevideo, Uruguay, from 1988 to 1996. Andrea then pursued their Baccalaureate at "Colegio y Liceo Santa Rita" from 1997 to 1999, but the degree and field of study are unknown. Andrea went on to attend Universidad de la República, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics (Plan 1990) from 2000 to 2007, specializing in Economics.
In terms of additional certifications, Andrea Domínguez obtained various certificates in 2023, including "Advance Your Skills as a Project Manager," "Change Management Foundations," "Managing Project Stakeholders," "Negotiation Foundations," "Project Management Skills for Leaders," "Salesforce Essential Training," and "Salesforce Tips" from LinkedIn. Moreover, in 2022, they obtained a certificate in "Project Management in Practice" from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
