Prateek Gupta

Prateek Gupta's work experience begins in 2013 as an intern at INDIAN RAILWAYS, where they assisted the servicing and maintenance manager and gained knowledge in the outlook and maintenance of WDM2 engines. In 2014, they interned at the Petroleum Conservation Research Association, where they assisted the energy audit team in collecting data, analyzing energy conservation potential, and preparing cost estimates and feasibility analysis.

In 2016, Prateek interned at Eneco, where they developed a Levelised Cost Of Electricity (LCOE) prediction tool and conducted cost-benefit analysis to determine project viability. Following this, they joined PwC in 2018 as a Deals Consultant, advising corporate and private equity clients during mergers and acquisitions. Their responsibilities included developing financial models, evaluating business operations, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting strategy development for clients.

Currently, Prateek works at Oikocredit as a Financial Risk Analyst, a role they started in August 2020. Prateek subsequently transitioned to the position of Financial Risk Officer, where they continue to contribute to risk management within the organization.

Prateek Gupta obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Mechanical and Automation from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University from 2010 to 2014. Prateek then pursued a Master's Degree in Sustainable Energy Technology from Delft University of Technology from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed a B2.1 course of German language from Goethe Institut Delhi in 2014. In their senior secondary education, they studied Non-Medical Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Maths) from Central Board of Secondary Education from 2008 to 2010.

Additionally, Prateek Gupta has obtained several certifications. In 2023, they achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 certificate from the CFA Institute. In 2022, they obtained the Certified Expert in Risk Management certification from the Frankfurt School Sustainable World Academy. In 2015, they acquired an edX Verified Certificate for Entrepreneurship 102: What can you do for your customer? from edX. Prateek also earned an edX Honor Code Certificate for The Science of Everyday Thinking in 2014. In the same year, they received an edX Verified Certificate for Entrepreneurship 101: Who is your customer? Prateek further obtained an edX Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Statistics: Descriptive Statistics in 2013. In 2006, they completed the Write Right & Speak Out Course from the British Council. Additionally, they obtained the Goethe-Zertifikat B1 from Goethe-Institut e.V. in 2014.
