Kabir Merchant

Kabir Merchant has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. Kabir was most recently the Chief Financial Officer at Oil Changer Inc. and prior to that, held the same position at Shashi Group LLC. From 2015 to 2017, they served as the Chief Financial Officer, Apparel at Sears Holdings Corporation, where they oversaw finance, pricing, planning, and accounting functions for a $4.0 billion apparel business. Before that, Kabir worked at Urban Outfitters as the Managing/Executive Director, URBN, where they collaborated with various teams to improve business performance. Kabir also has experience at KPMG Business Due Diligence, BT, and Intel Capital, where they played key roles in strategic partnerships, financial analysis, and assessing investment opportunities.

Kabir Merchant completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategy from the London Business School from 2001 to 2003. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree majoring in Finance and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they attended from 1992 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, Kabir also holds a certification as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the IMA | Institute of Management Accountants, although the exact date of obtaining this certification is not specified.
