Marc Herpfer

Vice President New Technologies at Oil-Dri Corporation

Marc Herpfer has a diverse work experience in the field of research and development. Marc started their career as a Research Associate at Arizona State University in 1986 and worked there until 1989. Marc then took on the role of Head Teaching Associate at the same university from 1989 to 1992. In 1992, they joined Oil-Dri Corporation of America as a Corporate Geologist and worked there until 1997. Marc then moved up the ranks and became a Senior Research Scientist from 1997 to 2000. Marc was then promoted to the position of Chief Scientist and held that role for three years. Marc then served as the Research Director for R&D from 2003 to 2015. Marc advanced further in the company and became the Vice President of Research & Product Development from 2015 to 2018. Their most recent role at Oil-Dri Corporation of America is as the Vice President of New Technologies, a position they have held since 2018.

Marc Herpfer earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry & Geology from Tufts University, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. Marc continued their education at Arizona State University, completing a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Geology (Geochemistry) from 1986 to 1988. Marc then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geology (Materials Science) at Arizona State University, graduating in the years 1988 to 1992.
