Vassilis Margonis

Vassilis Margonis began their work experience in 2018 as a Teaching Assistant at the National Technical University of Athens. Vassilis then went on to work as a Graduate Research Assistant at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2018. In 2019, they became an Associate Researcher at the National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos", where they focused on representation learning with deep generative models. Vassilis later joined wappier in 2021 as a Data Scientist, where they worked on tasks such as customer lifetime value prediction and A/B testing. Most recently, they started working as a Data Scientist at OilX in 2022.

Vassilis Margonis completed their education at two different institutions. From 2010 to 2015, they attended the University of Patras, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics. Afterward, they pursued higher education at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens from 2016 to 2019. During this period, they achieved a Master of Science (MS) degree in Algorithms, Logic, and Discrete Mathematics.

Additionally, Vassilis Margonis has obtained two additional certifications. In November 2021, they earned the Associate SQL Analyst certification from Databricks. In June 2021, they completed the course "A Crash Course in Causality: Inferring Causal Effects from Observational Data" offered by Coursera.
