Poorya Attaran

Poorya Attaran has a diverse work experience in the field of data and product management. In 2017, they started their career at Alibaba Travels Co. as a Data Analyst, where they played a key role in establishing the BI team and helping the company become more data-driven. Poorya then transitioned into the role of Product Owner for Data Products, leading a team of data analysts and engineers, and working on various products such as BI, dynamic pricing, and machine learning pipeline.

In 2020, Poorya joined Address, a home-rental startup in Iran, as a Product Director. Though their time there was short, they succeeded in reducing the feedback loop duration in the development of backoffice tools. Following this, Poorya returned to Alibaba Travels Co. in 2021 as a Data Product Lead. In this role, they led a team in building a product that provided valuable insights to hotel owners and managers, leveraging the company's unique data.

Currently, Poorya is serving as the Director of Data at Okala | اکالا, starting from 2023.

From 2012 to 2019, Poorya Attaran pursued a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering at Sharif University of Technology.
