Aksel Giset

Aksel Giset has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background in IT, digital transformation, and process engineering. Aksel is currently serving as the Head of IT & Digital Transformation at OKEA ASA since September 2021. Prior to this, they held various positions at Aker BP ASA, including Operation Supervisor, Crew Lead, and Process Lead, where they were responsible for safety enhancement, production efficiency, and project management. Aksel also worked as a Project Manager/Operation Superintendent at Teekay Petrojarl, Commissioning Manager at Eni Norge AS, and Senior Process Engineer/Offshore Commissioning Manager at Sevan Marine ASA. Additionally, they served as a Modelling Manager/Senior Process Engineer at Billington Process Technology AS (BPT) and Senior Process Engineer at REINERTSEN AS. Aksel started their career as the European Product Manager at Aspen Technology and Senior Process Engineer at Aker Engineering AS.

From 1986 to 1990, Aksel Giset attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where they earned a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering.
