Paola Laurino

Paola Laurino is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in the field of organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology since December 2016, Paola has also held positions as Assistant Professor and Adjunct Assistant Professor. Prior to this role, Paola was a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Associate at the Weizmann Institute of Science from January 2012 to April 2017. Paola's international experience includes a position as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Stuttgart in early 2015. Paola's educational background includes a PhD in Organic Chemistry from both the MPI Biomolecular Systems Department in Berlin and the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich, an MPhil in Medicinal Chemistry from Leiden University, and a Laurea in Chimica e Tecnologie Farmaceutiche from Universita' degli studi di Milano.
