Our Blood Institute
JP Potter has a diverse work experience in various industries. JP served as the CIO of the Oklahoma Blood Institute from 2012 to present, leading IT functions and implementing long-term IT strategies. Prior to that, they worked at Chesapeake Energy from 2007 to 2012, managing a team of IT resources and supporting 13 oilfield service companies. JP was responsible for a strategic systems initiative aimed at standardizing business functions across the companies. From 2002 to 2007, JP was the Director of Consulting Services at CGI, where they oversaw a senior technical team, managed client relationships, and achieved high client satisfaction ratings. Finally, from 1997 to 2000, they worked as the Director of Logistic Systems & Sourcing at Payless ShoeSource, leading the IT teams in warehouse, transportation, and sourcing. JP also directed supply chain improvements.
JP Potter completed a Certified Trainer program in Character Core at Strata Leadership in 2019. Before that, JP studied Computer Science at Drury University, earning an Associate of Science (AS) degree. Additionally, JP pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Business Administration and Management at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri.
Our Blood Institute
Our Blood Institute is the sixth-largest independent blood center in the nation, with 16 donor centers in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas. OBI is the nonprofit blood provider for patients at more than 240 hospitals, medical facilities, and air ambulances across three states.
