Peggy Barlow-Flug has extensive work experience in the blood industry. Peggy has held various roles at the Oklahoma Blood Institute and Carter BloodCare. At the Oklahoma Blood Institute, they started as a Manager of Training and Education, overseeing training programs and staff in Donor Services, Component Manufacturing, and Storage and Distribution. Peggy also played a role in creating and revising Standard Operating Procedures. Later, they became the Director of DS Technical Operations, where they coordinated change control and implemented projects and initiatives across multiple locations. Peggy directed various specialty areas within Donor Services, such as Quality Coordinators and Project Management. Recently, they were promoted to Executive Director, Donor Services Technical and Training Operations, where they continue to lead and direct projects and operations. At Carter BloodCare, they were the Manager of Collections Training, responsible for managing training programs and staff in the Blood Collections department. Peggy Barlow-Flug obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Southern Nazarene University in 2017. Peggy is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the same university, with an expected completion date in 2023.
