Karissa Garvie Cottom

Karissa Garvie Cottom currently serves as a Board Member for the Oklahoma Board of Bar Examiners and an Adjunct Settlement Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. Since 2015, Karissa has held the position of Vice President Assistant General Counsel - Litigation & Operations Services at Williams, where leadership of the litigation practice group and management of pre-litigation disputes is emphasized. Previous roles include Senior Attorney at QEP Resources, Inc. and Attorney (Shareholder) at Hall, Estill, Hardwick, Gable, Golden & Nelson, P.C., focusing on litigation in the oil, gas, and energy sector as well as general commercial litigation. Karissa also has teaching experience as an Adjunct Professor at The University of Tulsa College of Law. A member of Chief, an organization dedicated to empowering women in leadership roles, Karissa holds a J.D. from Baylor University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oklahoma State University.
