Kelly M. Roberts

Kelly M. Roberts, PhD, LMFT has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Kelly M. is currently an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Programs in Human Sciences at Oklahoma Christian University. Kelly M. also established their own practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Kelly has served as an editor for Red Dirt Chronicles and Director of Every Point on the Map. Within Chickasaw Nation, they held positions such as Director of Academic Affairs and Operations, Public Health and Research Evaluator, and Family Services Advisor/Family Initiatives Advisor. Additionally, they worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas and as a Behavioral Scientist at Great Plains Integris Family Medicine residency program. Earlier in their career, Kelly was a Clinical Instructor at Oklahoma State University and a Director at Public Strategies. Kelly M. began their career as a High School Teacher at Oklahoma Christian School.

Kelly M. Roberts, PhD, LMFT holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Human Development and Family Science from Oklahoma State University, which was obtained from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Family Relations and Child Development from the same university from 1999 to 2002. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, completed from 1983 to 1996. Kelly also received a high school diploma from Tuttle High School in 1982. Kelly M. has obtained several additional certifications throughout their career, including being a Clinical Fellow of the AAMFT, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and holding a State of Oklahoma Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT) certification. Kelly M. has also completed Telemental Health Training Certificate and Trauma Informed Family Support (TIFS) Certificate programs in 2022.
