Krystle Kaye

Krystle Kaye, SPHR has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Krystle currently holds the position of Director of Human Resources & Diversity at Oklahoma City Ballet, where they started in November 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Human Resources Manager at the same organization from September 2022 to November 2023.

Before joining the Oklahoma City Ballet, Krystle worked as a Human Resources Generalist at Petra Industries from March 2022 to September 2022. During their tenure, they played a key role in revitalizing the HR department and implementing new communication and record-keeping methods.

Krystle also has experience in the nonprofit sector, having served as the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition from June 2017 to February 2022. Their notable accomplishments during this time include launching grant programs, creating new initiatives in response to the pandemic, and implementing an arts administration internship program.

Prior to their nonprofit role, Krystle worked as a Lecturer & Adjunct Instructor at Oklahoma State University from August 2012 to December 2021. Krystle was involved in various responsibilities, including research, teaching, and assisting with exhibitions at the OSU Museum of Art.

Earlier in their career, Krystle held the position of Exhibitions Director at 108|Contemporary from August 2014 to June 2017. In this role, they oversaw all exhibitions and programming, managed budgets, and built partnerships with other organizations.

Krystle's experience also includes a project management role at the Cultural Development Corporation of Central Oklahoma in 2012, where they worked on implementing the Artist Support Study.

Before transitioning into the field of HR and nonprofit work, Krystle gained valuable experience in the service industry. Krystle worked at TGI Fridays from January 2007 to August 2012, starting as a Server and progressing to roles such as Bartender, Lead Coach, and Service Manager. In these positions, they played a key role in training and development, implementing training programs, and managing staff.

Additionally, Krystle has experience in the field of education. Krystle worked as a College 4 Kids Instructor at Oklahoma City Community College from April 2005 to August 2012. Krystle also interned at the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition as an Art Administration and Event Intern from August 2011 to December 2011.

Krystle Kaye, SPHR, holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Art History and Criticism from Oklahoma State University, which they completed from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Fine and Studio Arts from Oklahoma City University, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. Krystle began their academic journey with an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Studio Art from Oklahoma City Community College, graduating in 2007. Alongside their education, Krystle has also obtained various certifications, including the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HRCI in 2022 and Career Readiness Mentorship Training from Mentor Collective in the same year.
