Alice Di Giulio

Alice Di Giulio has a diverse background in policy, communications, and public affairs. Alice currently works at OKRA.ai as AI Policy and Public Affairs Lead, where they are responsible for building and managing Okra's policy and public affairs initiatives. Prior to this, Alice worked at OKRA.ai as a Strategic Policy and Communications Officer, focusing on building and maintaining the company's communications strategies.

In 2018, Alice volunteered as a Social Media Manager for the NGO Creating Rights, where they managed social media accounts, developed public affairs strategies, and implemented social media campaigns.

Alice's experience also includes working at Gracenote as a Senior Rich Media specialist and IIT Communications co-lead. In this role, they managed a team of rich media collectors, supported the local market practice, and improved workflow and processes to maximize productivity. Alice also served as the Communications co-lead for Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and the Inclusion Impact Team (IIT), being responsible for internal and external newsletters and the development of the BRG website.

At the European Cultural Foundation, Alice worked as a Communications Officer, where they researched, wrote, and edited stories on the foundation's work. Alice also created engaging content for various channels and supported the development of the new website.

Alice has experience in corporate communications as well, having worked at Europol as part of the Media relations unit. Alice'sresponsibilities included implementing Europol's communication strategy, drafting press releases, producing content for social media, and maintaining relationships with journalists and stakeholders.

Alice has also worked in communications and PR at the T.M.C. Asser Instituut, where they assisted in implementing the communications strategy and supported the organization of events and lectures. Additionally, Alice worked at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in the Public Affairs Branch, where they assisted in developing public affairs strategies and supported outreach events and conferences.

Alice's earlier experiences include working as a consultant at the Secretariat of the 17th Assembly of States Parties to the International Criminal Court and as part of the Public Affairs Unit and Audio-visual Unit at the International Criminal Court. Alice assisted in public judicial hearings, organized institutional meetings, engaged with media representatives, and monitored media coverage.

Furthermore, Alice worked as Secretary/Chief Assistant at Rifugio alpino Don Umberto Barbera.

Alice Di Giulio obtained a Bachelor's degree in Foreign languages for International relations (Applied languages) from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in 2013. Alice then pursued a Master of Science degree in Political Sciences, specializing in European and International politics (International relations) from the same university, completing it in 2015. In 2014-2015, Alice also earned a double degree in European and international economics from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg. Alice further enhanced their education by completing a Master's program in Diplomacy at ISPI - Istituto per gli studi di politica internazionale, Milan (Italy) from 2016-2017. In addition to their formal education, Alice obtained certifications in various fields, such as an Advanced Summer Programme on Terrorism, Countering Terrorism and the Rule of Law from T.M.C. Asser Instituut in August 2019, and language certifications including MLU Deutschkurs C1, OnDaF B2, DELF B2, and IDE Italian Diplomacy Education.
