Sean Newell

Sean Newell currently serves as the Director of Sales Strategy and Operations at Okta, having started in July 2025. Previously, Sean held the position of GTM Strategy and Operations at Fivetran from January 2024 to June 2025. Prior to that, Sean worked in Revenue Operations at Watershed from January 2023 to September 2023. Sean's extensive experience includes a long tenure at Twilio from January 2014 to November 2022, where roles included Director and Chief of Staff in the Office of the SVP Solution Sales, Sales Strategy and Analytics, Head of Customer Success, Account Executive, and Account Manager. In these roles, Sean drove key initiatives, scaled sales teams, managed significant revenue accounts, and improved customer success strategies. Sean's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis.
